At most awards programs, attendees are anchored to assigned tables in a windowless meeting room where they dine on the obligatory chicken dinner.
And once the awards are handed out, everyone shuffles out and goes home.
The "Celebrating Visionaries" gala is different.
A live jazz band sets just the right tone as guests and honorees mingle and meet in a gorgeously appointed ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the vibrant Creekside Gahanna development. Food stations and cabaret tables allow for movement throughout the room as guests sip wine and other libations and congratulate honorees with personal toasts. An abundant and artfully presented menu is enjoyed by all.
Beginning at 8:30 p.m., the guests move into a seating area for an engaging and inspiring 40-minute program focusing on the "vision story" of each honoree. The program concludes with a special presentation of the "Visionary of the Year" award.
Then the party begins!
A disc jockey replaces the live jazz band and the food stations now feature the most sumptuous desserts. Champagne and other drinks are served while guests laugh and dance to chart-topping tunes. When the party ends around 11 p.m., guests can be heard saying: "Wow -- that was fun!"

- Hosted by Derek Grosso, President of the Columbus Young Professionals Club and Susan Deutschle, Executive Director of the Central Ohio Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
- A video montage of the Six Honorees produced by Inline Productions and presented by LIVE! Technologies
- Presentation of Awards, including “Visionary of the Year” and “People’s Choice Award”
9:00 - 10:00 p.m. – Champagne/Dessert Reception
- A toast to the Honorees
- Dessert stations
- Live music and dancing
